Discover how the DRONE DISPATCHER plugin connects drone management platforms (FlytBase, Skydio...) to Genetec Security Center: centralized fleet control, GPS tracking and live video integration.
Connecting drone management software platforms to Security Center
The DRONE DISPATCHER plugin orchestrates multi-vendor drone missions directly from Genetec Security Center. Operators can dispatch drones on-demand from the map or automatically in response to geolocated events and alarms.
A plain video feed only shows the drone's camera image. DRONE DISPATCHER goes much further: it triggers the mission (dispatch, GPS coordinates, incident creation), tracks the drone's live position on the map, manages mission metadata (battery, altitude, status) and chains Security Center actions (alarm, macro, email). It's a true orchestration plugin, not just a video viewer.
Yes. The Drone Dispatch Framework (DDF) is developed in partnership with Genetec and distributed with official Genetec part numbers (GSC-RS-ADDONX-DDF-*), ensuring compliance, support and Advantage contract eligibility.
Genetec Security Center 5.11, 5.12, 5.13 and 5.14. The plugin installs as a native Security Center role with failover support.
The plugin is built on the Drone Dispatch Framework (DDF) and supports Skydio, FlytBase and Sunflower Labs integrations via dedicated add-ons. Each add-on handles vendor specifics such as docks, autonomous missions and video streaming.
Yes. Each vendor add-on is independent: on the same Security Center server, you can simultaneously have Skydio, FlytBase and Sunflower Labs drones controlled from the same interface. Useful for large heterogeneous sites or to test multiple platforms before standardization.
No. The plugin requires an on-premise Security Center deployment (Enterprise packages). Security Center SaaS is not currently supported because the Drone Dispatch Framework requires a native Genetec server role.
Yes. Through Security Center's native Event-to-Action mechanism, drone dispatch can be triggered automatically on any alarm or event containing GPS coordinates. Right-click on the map also allows manual dispatch.
From any Security Center map, the operator right-clicks at the desired location to create an incident marker. The marker's GPS coordinates are automatically sent to the vendor drone (Skydio, FlytBase, Sunflower). The vendor operator then decides whether to authorize the actual dispatch.
Yes, but managed by the vendor's drone / dock (Skydio Dock, FlytBase, Sunflower Hive). DRONE DISPATCHER sends the mission; RTL/RTH is native to the drone platform and can be triggered on signal loss, low battery or end of mission.
Yes. The plugin supports a multi-drone fleet flying simultaneously. Each drone is represented as a distinct Security Center entity with its GPS position, Omnicast camera and specific metadata. The map displays all active drones in real time.
Yes. Onboard cameras are integrated as native Omnicast cameras in Security Center, with real-time streaming in Security Desk, recording (per Omnicast configuration) and playback. No third-party viewer required.
